Fargo South High School Scholarships

The Foundation works with donors who have created annual gifts and permanently endowed scholarships for deserving graduates of South High School. To donate to South High School Scholarships, CLICK HERE

South 2024 Scholarship Applications

  • Awarded to a well-rounded senior who is serious about pursuing a career in elementary education and who has demonstrated academic success and leadership ability.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a Fargo South student who has interest and achievement in the area of visual arts or business.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • NEW The vision of the John and Mary Challey scholarship is to support the endeavors of a South High or Dakota High School graduating senior pursuing a non-traditional post-graduation path.

  • Awarded to a student who is involved in the community and has a love for literature, communications or the arts.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a student athlete who strongly displays excellence in the classroom, excellence on the field of play, and possessing a true passion for life.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Established to support talented Fargo South art students who excel in ceramics, watercolor, or sculptures.

  • NEW Awarded to a student who has participated in Fargo South DECA for a minimum of their junior and senior year.

  • Awarded to Fargo South High School senior female student athlete who demonstrates the values that Linda exhibited: fair play and sportsmanship, community involvement, and a passion for life.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded annually to a Fargo South High School senior female or male athlete. It is funded by Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in memory of Coach Sam Neis.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a well-rounded senior with good communication skills who is serious about pursuing a career in education and who has demonstrated academic success and leadership ability.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a graduating South High senior who was chosen to be in the Donkey Hotey’s Improvisational Club, who has performed in front of a live audience and is actively involved in weekly workshops.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a Fargo South student whose native language is not English and who is going to pursue a post-secondary degree in any field.
    Application deadline is March 31st.

  • Awarded to a Fargo South High School senior athlete.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a senior who is serious about pursuing a career in construction or related industries and who has demonstrated academic success and leadership ability.

  • Awarded to a graduating Fargo South Senior who demonstrates an interest in an entrepreneurial, business, or public service field and intends to pursue a business-related or public service education program at a 4-year post-secondary institution.

  • Awarded to a student who has demonstrated a strong desire to learn and understands the value of education.
    Application deadline March 31st.


All School Scholarship Applications

  • This scholarship funded by American Crystal is intended to be awarded to a well-rounded graduating
    high school senior pursuing a post-secondary education in one or more of the following fields of study:
    1. Science
    2. Agriculture
    3. Engineering
    4. Mathematics
    5. Technology

    Application deadlines are usually in April. For further details, please refer to the American Crystal Sugar website.

  • This scholarship, funded by American Crystal, is intended to be awarded to a well-rounded graduating high
    school senior pursuing a technical school education in one or more of the following fields of study:
    1. Science
    2. Agriculture
    3. Engineering
    4. Mathematics
    5. Technology

    Application deadlines are usually in April. For further details, please refer to the American Crystal Sugar website.

  • This scholarship will be awarded to a senior based on their academic and leadership skills, with preference given to Native American students.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a Fargo Public Schools student who is interested in the entrepreneurial or business field.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • A community scholarship program for graduates of Fargo's six high schools - Davies, North, South, Oak Grove, Shanley, and Dakota. Helping students expand their access to educational opportunities.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • Awarded to a Fargo area student whose native language is not English and who is going to pursue a post-secondary degree in Education.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • This scholarship is presented by NextGrad and is available to a Fargo Davies, North and South graduating senior pursuing a post-secondary education.
    Application deadline March 31st.

  • This annual scholarship is awarded to an academically motivated student who is the child of an educator and attends Fargo North, South, or Davies High School.
    Application Deadline March 31st.
