Student Scholarships

Listen up Fargo North seniors who live, breathe, and dream about golf! The Brantner family is offering a scholarship to one lucky senior who's shown true grit and dedication to the game. It's a chance to tee off towards your bright future!

Established by Fargo North Class of 1991 boys basketball players, this scholarship honors Coach Ray Callaghan, a longtime math teacher and coach. It is awarded annually to a Fargo North senior who has participated in basketball and/or golf and plans to pursue a degree in a mathematics-related field.

This scholarship honors Dr. Rod Capistran, a beloved Fargo North math teacher from 2003–2020. Created by his students, it supports a student pursuing mathematics or math education in recognition of his passion for teaching and lasting impact.

Awarded to a student who has excelled in art and/or math and whose character reflects Tyler’s values: strong people skills, excellence on the field of play, and a genuine passion for life.

This scholarship has been established by supporters of the Fargo North Swim and Dive teams and is open to graduating Fargo North seniors who participated in the Spartan Swim & Dive program. The scholarship will be granted to one male and one female senior from the team.

This scholarship honors Dr. Elil Yuvarajan’s 50th birthday and lifelong commitment to service and compassion. Named after his three children, it supports Fargo North graduates pursuing higher education and making a positive impact in their community.

Established to award Fargo North seniors who have demonstrated loyalty and commitment to the school’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs, coaching staff, their academics, and teammates.

Awarded to Fargo North students who plan to pursue a post-secondary education with a demonstrated desire to be successful in life.

Established by the Fargo North Class of 1966, this scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior who participated in Fargo North basketball and/or football, honoring the lasting legacy of coaches Donald “Diz” Dehne and Jerry Sheldon and their commitment to student development beyond athletics.

This scholarship honors Thomas “Mickey” Snortland, a devoted North High supporter and father of four North graduates. Established in his memory, it recognizes students who have shown dedication to the fine arts during high school.

This annual scholarship honors a Fargo North graduating senior who exemplifies Adam’s values of hard work, excellence, compassion, kindness, and respect. Student-athletes are prioritized, though all students active in extracurricular activities are encouraged to apply.

This scholarship funded by American Crystal is intended to be awarded to a well-rounded graduating
high school senior pursuing a post-secondary education in one or more of the following fields of study:

This scholarship is awarded to a well-rounded Fargo Public Schools graduating senior who demonstrates academic achievement and leadership, with consideration given to Native American students. Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be accepted to a four-year post-secondary institution. Brought to you by the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation.

Established by Ron and Karen Offutt in honor of their granddaughter, Chelsea Brandt (Davies High School, Class of 2015), this scholarship supports students pursuing higher education with an interest in entrepreneurship or business.

The Juelke-Disale Educator Scholarship is an annual award for Fargo-area students who are non-native English speakers and pursuing post-secondary degrees in education. Established by North Dakota Teacher of the Year Leah Juelke and named in honor of her and Global Teacher Prize winner Ranjit Disale, the scholarship supports diverse future educators committed to making a positive impact.

The Walt Hatlestad Annual Scholarship is awarded to an academically motivated student, child of an educator, attending Fargo North, South, or Davies High School. The recipient should reflect Walt Hatlestad’s legacy of integrity, compassion, leadership, and sportsmanship.
